About the Exhibition

Anatomy of Becoming is a moving meditation on transformation — a visual diary of who we are, who we were, and the rich in-between where identity is truly formed. Through thick, painterly brushwork and warm earth tones, Aminat O. Olajide captures the quiet strength of the becoming self.

Drawing from Yoruba aesthetic traditions and contemporary figurative painting, each canvas peels back another layer of selfhood — tender, textured, and unapologetically human. The lotus motif woven through the work speaks to growth emerging from depth.

This is a show to be felt slowly. Bring someone you love, leave space for stillness, and let the work meet you where you are.
